Professional license holders are required to have personal liability insurance and are held to strict ethical standards which can result in fines and loss of license due to unethical behavior, such as lying, intentional misrepresentation and/or poor quality work.
How would it violate the 1st amendment?
Are you saying that it is ethical for a host to lie to their audience?
Politicians have lied to our faces for years and that is perfectly legal. And unlike a doctor, radio/ TV hosts are there for entertainment. You can turn the dial if you don’t want to listen. They are there to talk and say whatever they want.
