What can you guys tell me about a career coach or a life coach?

I know this Yahoo Answers sometimes acts as a career/life coach for some people asking about job/life related questions… but what about professionals? I’m 23 and cannot really afford $250.00 for an hour of coaching, but I’m interested in what they have to offer. I want to get my life secure financially and emotionally… and I believe part of that is finding something you love to do for 9+ hours a day for the rest of your life…. I have some ideas of what I want to do e.g., interior design, architectural design, landscape design..anything in the arts. Right now I sell title insurance..lol. I have a bachelor of science in business but I’m thinking of going to my local comm. college and looking into getting my foot in the door to design with some classes/knowledge. Please help guys do you think a career/life coach would help AND is there a way it could be cheaper to have a consultation?

Dear LovelyLady

Regarding your first question, there are other career/life coaches that offer cheaper rates, dependent on their clientèle and their altruism! Cheaper doesn’t necessarily mean lousy, likewise, expensive doesn’t mean they are the best for you. You need to find a coach that you can relate to, and yet can be that supporter and tough master to help you help yourself.

A life coach will spur you on in the life path uniquely yours.

From what you write, I can see that you have a rough idea of what you want to do which is fantastic! A life coach will help you sculpture out the fine details of your ideal life, and motivate you to achieve the goals in your life to reach that dream.

You have some doubts regarding yourself which you may or may not be aware of. A life coach can help you become aware of your “kinks”. If you are aware, a life coach can guide you to the fastest and most effective method to iron out these doubts.

I would love to help you, and offer you a free consultation without obligations from the goodness of my heart!

I wish you the very best,
Pei Shan @ shanshine.com … Smile! Are you shining yet?

Boiler Replacement and Home Insurance

Home improvements can range from changing the exterior of the property – such as the addition of a conservatory or a textured effect to the outside walls – to reworking the interior systems, such as the heating and water systems.

Major work such as replacing a boiler or the construction of outside extensions can be a costly business, and not just in the sense of how much you pay for the items themselves. However, before the plans can go ahead, there’s the long list of things to check, such as measurements, architectural plans and making sure the areas that need to be worked on are clear and easily accessible.

One of the most common home improvement methods is boiler replacement, with many households choosing to upgrade to a more energy efficient combi-boiler system. Many utility companies will also offer the option of heating and boiler insurance.

Heating and boiler insurance offers peace of mind should anything happen with your system. Engineers will usually be available for 24-hour emergency call outs, and depending on how much you want to spend on a policy, these insurance policies will cover all parts of the system – including thermostats, radiators and the internal pipework as well as the boiler unit itself.

Cover is available from many of the utilities companies, but it can be worth looking into whether you can add a similar sort of cover to your existing house insurance policy. Many companies will offer additional cover as part of buildings insurance; however it’s best to double check what aspects will be covered, such as call out charges and which parts of the system may be excluded from such a policy.

Before you rush into any major home improvement work, it is best to contact your house insurance company in order to discuss any policy changes as a result of any work. Any major undertaking could potentially have an effect on your buildings and contents insurance policy, which is why it’s important to double check many factors before going ahead with renovation or extension plans.
